In November we loaded up the van with our gear and dogs and hit the road with no real plan except a two day stay in Tuscon we reserved ahead of time. Our first stop was in the Carrizo Plain National Monument. We seemed to be the two only people out there that day, so had a lot of space to ourselves. It was a very pretty nook of California that neither of us had been to before. We then meandered across Mojave camping for a night at Red Rock Canyon. Then, we headed towards Flagstaff where we did some Forest Road exploring in Sedona. Our little Nissan NV200 handled it like a champ. Then southward in Arizona before reaching our destination in Tuscon to clean, recharge and catch up with some work. The weather was pretty ideal for this area of the country and there's still so much to explore. My view of Arizona has definitely changed after this trip and look forward to exploring different areas of the state.
